Three possibilities

โ€

Unallocate ๐Ÿšซ

  • No reset triggered via MDM, the computer will simply be removed from the current user and assigned to the stock account.
  • You can then reassign it to another employee if you wish.
  • This allows you to report any change of ownership without wiping the computer.

โ€

Remove โŒ

  • An MDM wipe request is triggered and will be launched when the following conditions are met.
  • The equipment will be removed from your stock and will always be visible in the "Withdrawal" tab for traceability purposes.
  • Choose this option if the equipment no longer forms part of your assets, as it is recycled, donated, resold, etc.

โ€

Delete ๐Ÿงน

  • An MDM wipe request is triggered and will be launched when the following conditions are met.
  • The computer will remain assigned to the current employee on the platform.

๐Ÿ’ก Wipe via MDM

โ€

4 conditions must be met for the remote wipe request to be effective. Firstly, the equipment must be enrolled in the MDM. Secondly, it must be switched on, plugged in and connected to the Internet, otherwise the wipe will not work.

After the reset, the computer will be :

  • reset (factory setting)
  • de-enrolled from MDM
  • always inventoried on the platform and allocated to stock
