How to reassign equipment?

For security reasons, the automatic reassignment functionality via the platform has been deactivated.

It's important to make sure that a computer that changes ownership has been reset before being given to someone else.

You can request a remote reset via the platform by following this tutorial for an enrolled computer, or manually(tutorial).

Reassignment procedure

ℹ️ For devices (computers, tablets, smartphones) with all MDMs, except Miradore

- Contact IT support to request an enrolment token to be sent to the new computer user.

- Once the user has completed the procedure, the computer will change ownership on the platform within 24 hours, or after fleet synchronization. Until this user action is taken, the equipment will not be assigned to the user.

Instant reassignment

ℹ️ For equipment inventoried manually, i.e. not enrolled in an MDM tool, and accessories, as well as equipment enrolled in Miradore.

Specific procedure for Miradore

- Case n°1: if the computer is enrolled (on behalf of a user or stock account), reassignment is instantaneous with Miradore MDM via the drop-down menu - tutorial below.

- Case 2: if the computer is not/no longer enrolled, contact IT support to request that an enrolment token be sent to the new computer user.

- Once the enrolment procedure has been completed, the computer will change ownership on the platform within 24 hours, or after fleet synchronization. Until this user action is carried out, the equipment will not be assigned to him/her.
