At Osol, everything happens very quickly. Founded in 2021, the startup designs smart battery stations capable of recharging up to five devices simultaneously - computers, smartphones, headphones - without relying on a wall socket. A solution for nomadic environments, open-spaces, coworking spaces and companies rethinking their post-Covid offices.

Emma, finance manager, shares her experience with a cross-section of budgetary and cybersecurity issues, at the heart of the structuring of their IT assets.

An IT security issue

Our customers are major accounts such as Doctolib and Sanofi. We have to be credible at every level, including our IT security.

But when she joined Osol, the situation was clear: IT management had yet to be developed. Most computers were still personal, and there was no formalized onboarding or offboarding process, nor any traceability of the equipment used.

Everything was done by hand. Machines had to be configured one by one, antivirus software had to be installed, and we had to guess who owned which computer...

Scalable IT management to support growth

It was against this backdrop that Emma chose rzilient. Her objective: to structure the management of her IT fleet without having to recruit a CIO at this stage of development.

What convinced her? rzilient's ability to deliver services quickly, provide visibility over the IT estate and make it easier to deliver configured, secure, ready-to-use hardware to every employee, wherever they are.

The idea was to stop wasting time on things we shouldn't be wasting time on. Today, when we recruit someone, he receives his computer ready to use. They can start work straight away.

rzilient is also enabling Osol to move to a 100% professional fleet, by gradually integrating a leasing model, more flexible to adapt configurations to the needs of each business(for example, for sales & marketing teams who renew their equipment more often).

Above all, cybersecurity is becoming a proactive issue.

Better tools for better safety: the Osol method

With the help of its "Safe" division, Osol implements a progressive but rigorous approach to cybersecurity. Each action is supported by an audit based onISO 27001 standards, to assess the organization's level of maturity.

We started from a very low score. Today, we've made a lot of progress. It's already a real improvement, and rzilient has clearly contributed to it.

Thanks to the centralization of workstations via MDM, the deployment of an EDR to protect machines, and the structured management of passwords with Dashlane, Osol has acquired real security reflexes, without complicating the day-to-day work of its teams.

Ongoing training and awareness-raising for teams

We also had to acculturate our in-house teams, who didn't always have the right reflexes.

I had colleagues who told me they still used the same password for everything because it was "simpler".

To avoid this type of error, which can be fatal for the company's security, Emma chose to deploy Dashlane easily with rzilient, and to introduce more secure rules. These include regular password renewal and automatic session locking.

The implementation of these tools is also accompanied by a threat awareness phase (phishing, poor digital hygiene), adapted to teams who are not experts in the subject.

Emma's Cyber tips for improving your security score

A simplified daily routine for the whole team

One of rzilient's major contributions, according to Emma, is the simplicity it brings to day-to-day IT management. Tickets are easily opened, support can be reached on Slack, and follow-ups are centralized.

I no longer have to wonder where a particular computer has gone, who's using it, or whether it's up to date. And I don't have to waste two hours preparing a machine each time a new one is onboarded.

Multi-site management (Cannes, Orleans, Paris, Lyon) becomes fluid. Equipment is sent directly to the right place, pre-configured. And in the event of departure, machines are recovered and reconditioned without friction.

From a budgetary point of view, the leasing model proposed by rzilient enables us to smooth out expenditure and adapt to changes in the team.

Next step: cyber excellence

Osol's objective is clear: to aim for the top mark in cybersecurity. This score, based on ISO 27001 requirements, marks the first step towards certification, the "grail" of cybersecurity. For the moment, the company is applying the principles, step by step. The company's security department continues to support the team as it moves towards maturity, and rzilient remains at the heart of the technical infrastructure for this progress.

The aim is to aim for a 10/10 score. And to have a credible, secure organization. It's possible, provided we surround ourselves with the right partners.
